Background & Purpose
The United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster
County's Policies on Funding Arrangements
state that all programs will be reviewed
each year during the Citizen Review
Fund Distribution process. The purpose
of the review is to ensure that all
programs that receive donor's unrestricted
gifts to the United Way Fund are in
compliance with the current certification
criteria and policies of United Way
of Lincoln and Lancaster County as set
forth in the most recent edition of
the Fund Distribution Manual.
Who Will Conduct The Review
The Fund Distribution Teams, including
the Audit Resource Team, shall conduct
agency reviews as part of the annual
Fund Distribution process. Teams will
review all documentation provided and
compare such documentation to established
United Way certification criteria and
policies, noting specific areas of compliance
and/or non-compliance. The recommendations
on eligibility status will be included
in the Fund Distribution Teams' reports
that are forwarded to the Fund Distribution
Team Leaders Committee for review and
to the United Way Board of Directors
for final disposition.

The following identifies the Agency
Criteria approved by the United Way
Board of Directors. All programs making
application for United Way funding will
be asked to supply all documentation
as part of the application process.
