Directors of United Way Funded Partner Agencies:
I first want to express our deep gratitude and admiration for the work you all do every day to make this community a stronger and better place for all of our citizens. We know that your resources, staff and energy are being additionally taxed during this period of crisis. Please know that it is our desire at United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County to support you as your staff teams stand at the front lines of helping our community prepare and respond.
We are aware that your programming may need to be varied during this time to meet the needs of your clients and our broader community. Please be assured that we have no intention to disrupt funding for programs that must sustain a service disruption or be alternately delivered during this period. We also understand that your agency’s programs may not be able to deliver the expected outcomes during this period of time. That will not impact future funding decisions. We do ask that you keep Rachael Surmick, Director of Community Impact apprised as appropriate of significant programming changes or disruptions. Should the pandemic still be impacting programs after an eight week period of time, we will follow up and work collaboratively with you, as our funded partner, to determine how we can best work together to support your program through the end of the year’s funding agreement.
As a reminder, we will be hosting a ZOOM meeting for all funded partner agencies on Monday, March 23 to discuss needs and potential additional service collaboration. For those agencies unable to attend the ZOOM meeting, Rachael will be following up with you individually to discuss any potential program needs, challenges and adaptations.
