Families are invited to visit the Lincoln Children’s Museum (1420 P ST, Lincoln, NE 68508) on Saturday, November 14 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm and experience a FREE morning of play at the Families Matter event.
For many families, the opportunity to spend quality time together can seem almost impossible. Whether due to work, after school activities or necessary tasks like grocery shopping, many families struggle to find time together.
Families Matter provides children the chance to enjoy the fun and educational exhibits at the Lincoln Children’s Museum while parents explore family resources from Born Learning and other local human service agencies. While open to families of all shapes and sizes, Families Matter strongly encourages fathers to participate and learn more about the special role they play in the growth and development of their children.
Participants are asked to present the Families Matter flyer to receive free admission to the Lincoln Children’s Museum. The flyer is available at the United Way office at 238 S. 13th ST or online at www.unitedwaylincoln.org. The flyer is also available on the Lincoln Children’s Museum website at www.lincolnchildrensmuseum.org and the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department website at www.lincoln.ne.gov/city/health/index.htm.
Families Matter is a cooperative event organized by the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department, United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County and the Lincoln Children’s Museum.
