Title: Assistant Director of Resource Development (exempt position)
Reports to: Senior Director of Marketing and Resource Development

POSITION SUMMARY
In addition to assisting the Senior Director of Marketing and Resource Development with all planning and operational aspects of the annual campaign, the Assistant Director of Resource Development will provide year-round support to key campaign divisions. They may be assigned research projects related to the work of the Campaign Cabinet or other year-round fundraising programs. The Assistant Director of Resource Development will work with other staff and volunteers to develop sales strategies for all aspects of this division, and will maintain yearlong contact with donors, volunteers, community leaders and others in this area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, business leaders and company campaign leaders
- Management of CRM database which includes:
- Coordinate closely with the Database Specialist | Trend Analyst position
- Analyze trends and opportunities
- Create action plan for ongoing improvement
- Ensure accuracy of all constituent data; approve all exported documents
- Develop a work plan for the Private Sector campaign based on an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of past campaigns, changes in community structure and economic factors that may affect the campaign; develop goals and timelines appropriate to the campaign
- Directly manage campaign divisions which include:
- New Account Development
- General campaign accounts
- Cultivation campaign accounts
- Manage identified campaigns in Private Sector division
- Assist in recruiting, orienting and coordinating volunteers for Campaign Cabinet and Campaign Coordinators
- Work with supervisor to strategically enhance the campaign efforts annually
- Solicit in-kind contributions and sponsorships
- Assist with special events
- Maintain manageable involvement with outside civic organizations
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous fundraising/sales management experience required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Database experience preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience desired
- Proficient and knowledgeable of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to take initiative, work independently (as well as in a team) and manage a wide variety of responsibilities; must be a self-starter
- Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
- Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Current driver’s license
