Lincoln COVID-19 Response Fund

March 20, 2020  //  United Way

United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County is proud to be a partner in the Lincoln COVID-19 Response Fund that was announced by Lincoln Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird at a press conference today. A coalition of partners from across the community, including the City of Lincoln, the Lincoln Community Foundation, the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development, the Community Health Endowment and other philanthropic and business partners have worked collaboratively to establish the fund and will work together to ensure the fund has maximum reach and effectiveness.

The Fund will raise money and then award operating grants on a rolling basis to nonprofits that support vulnerable populations disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.

If you missed the press conference, you can find it here.

We recognize that the need to have additional resources is critical at this time in order to support the work of our community nonprofits. Lincoln’s nonprofits cannot do this work alone, they require the support of all who are able to step in and help.

Donations to the fund are being accepted by Lincoln Community Foundation, where the fund is being administered. You can donate here.
