United Way Announces 2026 Annual Community Wide Campaign

2026 Campaign Chair, John Olsson
United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County and CHAD (Combined Health Agencies Drive) officially kicked off their 2026 community giving campaign in September with the theme “United in Something Bigger.”
Unity uplifts the entire community and serves as an invitation to address the most urgent needs in Lincoln and Lancaster County.
Chairs for the 2026 campaign, John and Jody Olsson, announced the goal of raising $6.1 million in order to support over 60 local health and human services organizations closing gaps across the community. Thirty-three Pacesetter organizations along with nearly 100 community members already have helped raise just over $2.8 million towards the goal.
Following on the heels of the announcement, United Way mobilized over 300 volunteers for Day of Caring, a day of service across the community, presented by Black Hills Energy. Caring community members painted, cleaned, landscaped, prepared meals, and read to students. These individual efforts represent a movement of hope building a community where individuals and families have the opportunity to thrive.
United Way strengthens the community by opening up pathways to opportunity in the areas of Healthy Community, Youth Opportunity, Financial Security and Community Resiliency.
