I want everybody to know that United Way makes the community stronger and better. It is a way to help our community for the people who need it the most.

A while ago, I was asked to help with our United Way Campaign at work. I went from being a donor to helping organize our work campaign. Later, I joined United Way’s campaign cabinet. And now, I am on the steering committee for Labor Partners United.

Labor Partners United is a great opportunity to have Labor help our community with things that are important to them and are really needed, such as having a therapist at the school that would not have been available before.

When Labor Partners United held our first resource pop up at Dawes Middle School, that was a meaningful moment for me. It was nice to see the families benefit from the services and to interact with them.

Since becoming involved with United Way and Labor Partners United, hearing people’s stories and how they have been impacted by the dollars raised is what makes this worth it.
