Your Scooters coffee purchase will put books into the hands of children in our community

When: December 8th - all day!

Where: All Scooter’s Coffee locations in Lincoln (except 84th & Adams and Village Gardens locations)

What: 10% of food and beverage sales will be donated to United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County’s Virtual Book Drive!

United Way’s Virtual Book Drive, a joint venture by United Way’s Women United and Emerging Leaders United delivers books through our community nonprofit partners and supported school communities of Campbell Elementary and McPhee Elementary Schools throughout the year. We want to get books into the hands of our youth without delay. Your support provides the opportunities for a child to fill a bookshelf and break the link between poverty and poor academic outcomes. All children should be able to grow up with readily available books at home. Books at home propel a child further in education.

Last year, Scooters Coffee helped United Way put 2,000 books into the hands of kids in Lincoln. During this year’s 3rd Annual event, we think we can do better than that! With your coffee purchase on December 8, we hope to raise enough to provide 2,400 books for kids.
