Visit Slim Chickens at 1601 Pine Lake Road or 5805 S. 85th St. on Thursday, August 14th between 4 - 9 PM and mention United Way for 15% of the proceeds to go towards the Virtual Book Drive Fund.

Through United Way’s Virtual Book Drive, we will deliver books through our community nonprofit partners and supported school communities of Campbell, McPhee and Clinton Elementary schools throughout the year. We want to get books into the hands of our youth without delay.

Last year our generous donors helped distribute 4,575 books to children in our community. So far this year we have raised just over $4,000 of our $16,750 goal. Your support provides the opportunities for a child to fill a bookshelf and break the link between poverty and poor academic outcomes.
