Now through October, Cooper & Wax Co, located at 2701 N. 48th St., Ste 1, is selling a "Solidarity" candle to support United Way's Labor Partners United (LPU). $5 from every “Solidarity” candle will be donated to the LPU initiative strengthening neighborhoods where Labor members live and work. Candles can also be purchased online at copperwaxco.com.

Currently, thanks to generous Labor Union members and their allies, LPU funds:

1. A part-time therapist at Dawes Middle School toeliminate barriers for students and their families who would otherwise not beable to access mental health support.
2. Quarterly pop-up events for families, bringingtogether various community resources into one place for families to getmultiple needs met.
